Disposal in Portugal
The waste management routes indicated are based on the regulations in force in Portugal (Sociedade Ponto Verde, eco-point system) and standard municipal practice, as of August 2026. Since 2026, a deposit system (“símbolo volta”) is being introduced for single-use plastic and metal beverage packaging; this packaging will no longer be directed to the yellow eco-point. For binding information, please contact your municipality or your authorised waste management operator.
From 12 August 2028 – or 24 months after the entry into force of the European Commission’s related implementing acts, whichever date is later – a single, EU-wide harmonised labelling system for packaging will be introduced pursuant to Article 12 of Regulation (EU) 2025/40 (PPWR). Until then, the national waste management routes described above remain applicable.

B2B / Commercial delivery
Authorised waste management operator. Commercial customers must dispose of larger wooden crates and pallets separately through an authorised waste management operator, not via the municipal eco-centre.

B2C / End customer
Municipal eco-centre. As a private individual, take the wooden crate to the municipal eco-centre; it must not be placed in the blue eco-point or in general waste.
