Disposal in Lithuania
The waste management methods indicated are based on current legislation in Lithuania and standard municipal practice, as of August 2026. The specific allocation to containers or collection systems may vary depending on the municipality and waste management region. For binding information, please contact your municipal waste management centre or your authorised waste management company.
From 12 August 2028 – or 24 months after the entry into force of the European Commission’s related implementing acts, whichever date is later – a uniform, EU-wide harmonised packaging labelling system will be introduced pursuant to Article 12 of Regulation (EU) 2025/40 (PPWR). Until then, the national waste management methods described above remain applicable.

B2B / Commercial delivery
Authorised waste management company. Businesses must dispose of larger wooden crates and pallets separately through an authorised waste management company, not via the municipal collection point.

Bulky waste collection point. Private individuals must take the wooden crate to the bulky waste collection point; it does not belong with mixed municipal waste.
