Disposal in Hungary
From 12 August 2028 – or 24 months after the entry into force of the relevant implementing acts of the European Commission, whichever is later – a uniform, harmonised EU label for packaging will be introduced under Article 12 of Regulation (EU) 2025/40 (PPWR). Until then, the national disposal routes described above continue to apply.
The disposal routes mentioned are based on current Hungarian legislation (Act CLXXXV of 2012 on Waste, MOHU concession system) and current practice, as of August 2026. Commercial entities must register on the MOHU Partner Portal; registration is the sole responsibility of the respective customer or business partner and does not fall within Big Dutchman’s area of responsibility. Selective waste bin (metal), except for deposit-return beverage cans. Small metal parts (clips, buckles), if consisting predominantly of metal, can be placed in the selective metal bin. Aluminium beverage cans subject to a deposit are covered by the mandatory deposit-return system. Basis: EPR/Municipal
