Disposal in Greece
The waste management methods stated are based on current Greek legislation (EEAA/EOAN, blue bin system) and standard municipal practice, as of August 2026. The exact composition of the blue bin (mixed collection versus source separation) may vary by municipality. For binding information, please contact your municipality or your licensed waste management operator.
From 12 August 2028 – or 24 months after the entry into force of the European Commission’s related implementing acts, whichever date is later – a uniform, harmonised EU-wide packaging labelling system will be introduced pursuant to Article 12 of Regulation (EU) 2025/40 (PPWR). Until then, the national waste management methods described above remain applicable.

B2B / Commercial delivery
Licensed waste management operator. Commercial customers must dispose of larger wooden crates and pallets separately through a licensed waste management operator, not via the municipal Green Point.

B2C / End customer
Municipal Green Point/Waste Transfer Station. As a private individual, take the wooden crate to the municipal Green Point; it must not be disposed of in the blue bin or with general waste.
