Disposal in France
From 12 August 2028 – or 24 months after the entry into force of the corresponding implementing acts of the European Commission, whichever is later – a single, harmonized EU-wide labeling scheme for packaging will be introduced in accordance with Article 12 of Regulation (EU) 2025/40 (PPWR). Until that date, the national systems described above remain applicable.
The recovery pathways mentioned are based on the regulations applicable in France (Loi AGEC, Triman/Info-Tri labeling) as well as on common municipal practices, as of August 2026. The precise allocation to collection bins may vary by municipality (please consult the Citeo sorting guide or the dedicated app). For binding information, please contact your local municipality or your professional waste management provider.

Licensed contractor for wood waste. In accordance with the Loi AGEC, wood constitutes a waste stream that businesses must sort separately. Large crates and pallets must be recycled through a licensed contractor, not through the municipal waste collection center. Legal basis: Law (Loi AGEC)
B2C / End customer
Waste collection center (déchèterie). As a private individual, take the wooden crate to your municipal waste collection center; it must not be disposed of with household waste. Legal basis: Municipal
