Disposal in Denmark
The disposal routes stated are based on current Danish regulations (Emballagebekendtgørelsen, extended producer responsibility since 1 October 2025) and standard municipal practice, as of August 2026. Extended producer responsibility covers both household and commercial packaging, which must be reported separately. For binding information, please contact your municipality or your authorised waste contractor.
From 12 August 2028 – or 24 months after the entry into force of the European Commission’s related implementing acts, whichever date is later – a uniform, harmonised EU labelling system for packaging will be introduced pursuant to Article 12 of Regulation (EU) 2025/40 (PPWR). Until then, the national disposal routes described above remain applicable.

B2B / Commercial delivery
Authorised waste contractor. Commercial customers must dispose of larger wooden crates and pallets separately via an authorised commercial waste contractor, not via the municipal recycling centre. Basis: Law (Packaging Ordinance)
B2C / End customer
Municipal recycling centre. As a private individual, the wooden crate should be taken to the municipal recycling centre; it must not be thrown out with residual waste.
