Disposal in Bulgaria
From 12 August 2028 – or 24 months after the entry into force of the relevant implementing acts of the European Commission, whichever is later – a uniform, harmonised EU label for packaging will be introduced under Article 12 of Regulation (EU) 2025/40 (PPWR). Until then, the national disposal routes described above continue to apply.
The disposal routes mentioned are based on current Bulgarian legislation (Waste Management Act, Ordinance on Packaging and Packaging Waste) and standard municipal practice as of August 2026. Bin colours and the responsible recovery organisation may vary between municipalities. For binding information, please contact your local municipality or licensed waste management operator.

B2C / End customer
Yellow/blue selective collection bin (depending on municipality). Flatten cardboard boxes and paper filling material and place them in the bin for paper and cardboard. Basis: Municipal (EPR)
