Disposal in Belgium
From 12 August 2028 – or 24 months after the entry into force of the relevant implementing acts of the European Commission, if that date is later — a uniform, harmonised EU labelling system for packaging will be introduced pursuant to Art. 12 of Regulation (EU) 2025/40 (PPWR).
The disposal routes listed are based on the requirements applicable in Belgium (Fost Plus for household packaging, Valipac for commercial/industrial packaging) as well as standard regional practice (Flanders/Wallonia/Brussels may differ) as of August 2026. For binding information, please contact your local waste management authority or your Valipac-registered waste contractor.

Wood

B2B / Commercial delivery
Valipac-registered contractor. Commercial recipients dispose of larger wooden crates and pallets separately via a Valipac-registered wood waste contractor.
B2C / End customer
Recyparc / container park. As a private individual, take the wooden crate to the municipal Recyparc/container park.

Valipac-registered contractor. Larger volumes of cardboard from B2B deliveries must be collected via a Valipac-registered commercial waste contractor.
B2C / End customer
Paper/cardboard collection (municipal, separate from the PMC bag). Flatten cardboard and paper padding and place them in the municipal paper/cardboard collection.

Valipac-registered contractor (mandatory, regardless of volume). Films and strapping bands from B2B deliveries must not be disposed of via the household PMC bag; they must be collected separately via a Valipac-registered contractor.
B2C / End customer
PMC bag (blue). Plastic films and strapping bands, where they constitute household packaging, go in the PMC bag.
