Disposal in Austria
The disposal routes stated are based on the requirements in force in Austria since 1 January 2025 (ARA, nationwide uniform collection of plastic and metal packaging in the yellow bin/yellow bag) and standard municipal practice, as of August 2026. Deposit-based single-use beverage packaging made of plastic/metal must be disposed of via the deposit return system, not via the yellow bin. For binding information, please contact your municipality or your certified waste management provider.
From 12 August 2028 – or 24 months after the entry into force of the European Commission’s related implementing acts, whichever date is later – a uniform, harmonised EU labelling system for packaging will be introduced pursuant to Article 12 of Regulation (EU) 2025/40 (PPWR). Until then, the national disposal routes described above remain applicable.

Certified waste management provider. Commercial customers must dispose of larger wooden crates and pallets separately via a certified commercial waste management provider, not via the municipal recycling depot. Basis: Recommendation/Municipal
B2C / End customer
Recycling depot/waste collection centre. As a private individual, take the wooden crate to the municipal recycling depot/waste collection centre. Basis: Municipal
